Curriculum Diversity

Stella Maris College offers over 80 courses. In addition to the core curriculum subjects, girls may study a range of creative and practical options.

Academic success has continued to be maintained in the traditional subjects and has been enhanced with the commitment by the College to adopt and adapt educational strategies that reflect recognition of a more flexible learning environment. This environment stretches across disciplines, technologies and faculties, with a move towards more self-directed learning and integration of information technology across the curriculum. As a result, the College offers opportunities for students to achieve their personal best in all subjects, according to their personal interest and ability. In line with this, the College embraces new and diverse learning styles that are aligned with the Federal Government's initiative of broadening educational quality through the use of Information Technologies.

The Design and Technology studios are well equipped to offer all the facilities needed for this increasingly important area. The Art Department encourages students to work in a wide range of media.
